I had the opportunity and the honor to photography two members of the Refugee Olympic team while I was working at the #UNGA in the
@Instagram studio.
"Most refugees have lost everything. But when someone gives us a chance we can change our lives", Yiech Pur Biel, a refugee from South Sudan and Olympic runner.
"You're an athlete. You don't think if you're Syrian or from London or from Germany." - @mardini.ysra swam to reach safety after fleeing Syria and then swam for the #TeamRefugees in the Olympics.
History was made this summer at the #OlympicGames in Rio de Janeiro, #Brazil, when the first-ever refugee team competed under the Olympic flag.
