I saw the most amazing thing this morning. We know that cats leave prey (presents) for their owners but do other animals, wildlife give the same reciprocation? Tell us what you think. ?We've been leaving peanuts out for the squirrels since we moved here as we did in Florida. Here though, the cats, specifically Venus have a front row view from the step they come up on and spend hours watching them come up. They are not scared. While we were watching with her this morning, this little gal came from the wooded preserve behind our house with some kind of grape size nut in her mouth. We've been watching the squirrels bury some of the peanuts so when she came out of the trees we thought she was going to the yard to bury it. To our amazement she made a bee line straight across the yard and jumped straight to the top step. She left the nut (near the threshold so it's not visible here) and then ate a peanut with her friend. What do you guys make of this? ?
