Photo @pedromcbride // Sacred Cow. Sometimes my work makes me look for pretty light in tough places. On my latest Ganges River project, @mountainworld and I spent two days in a garbage dump documenting how waste is handled along the banks of the “sacred" Ganges River. Sadly, much of it was recycled and scavenged by children living amongst the debris. Some is burned later which is a slight improvement over regions that dump directly into the Ganges. This lone cow found a burning pile of waste, the best option for a meal. Honored to show our film at @banffcentre next month. #holyunholyriver #ganges #gratitude
