They emerge in huge numbers when the rains start at the beginning of the wet season. This picture is from an expedition to Cocha Cashu biological station in Manu National Park, Peru. Our aim was to document the amazing diversity of animals that visit a fruiting fig tree deep in the Peruvian Amazon.
