How did my non-Muslim friends accept my choice and still keep good friendship?
One day I asked some of my Japanese friends how do they think my decision and how do they see me because during the time I started to be full time Hijabi.
They answered “We are fine and respect your choices because for us you are still Risa. You got a religion but it does not mean to change who you are and who we know." From the moment, I stop to be worried about how they think or how other people think. I am who I am also I believe with Islam I will be better person than before.
As they respect me, I respect them back with good manners. Especially when they ask questions on Islam I try my best to explain with simple explanation and give them clear and correct understanding also when I need to request certain things i.g. need to find place to pray or to eat Halal, I ask them gently. This is how Allah let me keep good relationship with my friends ?Alhamdulillah!
