Respect ✊?I'm Ecuadorian American. Born in Jersey. Raised in Brick City. My parents came to this country in hopes of living the American dream. My dad was a jewler for Tiffanys over 30yrs. when the economy went bad , he was temporarily laid off until "things got better. " During this time he was a new home owner, and almost lost the house. At this time I was in my second year of the nursing program and in my clinicals. I gave up school to take on a full time job to help out but I lost my academic scholarship. When I went back I had to take out a student loan. The economy didn't get better and I took another year off , only this time my father was told by his employer that they had to let him and few others go. Well that's the same time my modeling career started n took off. It was then that I took the opportunity to juggle another full time job. The industry and my ER job has allowed me to support my parents fully and myself. I joke around that I feel like a single mom sometimes. The truth I'm proud to be an American. Although it's not the traditional American dream, my parents have seen their daughter on covers of mags, on tv and radio & do public speaking on DV , but most importantly they see their daughter helping others: at the ER, in the community and on the World Wide Web.
