Seeing the #Supermoon is an incredible experience. It hasn't been this close in its orbit around the Earth since 1948, and won't be again until 2034. This is an in-camera double exposure of the supermoon near Delicate Arch in Arches National Park, Utah. For those of you not familiar with a double exposure, it means taking two shots on top of each other, thereby making one image. The moon was actually setting a bit further to the west than my view of Delicate Arch. I hope you'll excuse my use of creative license.
Both images shot in camera with FUJIFILM X-T1 and XF100-400 F4.5-5.6 lens and 1.4X teleconverter.
Photo by @jonathan_irish // Photographer Jonathan Irish (@jonathan_irish) is on an epic road trip to visit and create incredible content in all of the 59 U.S. National Parks in 52 weeks during the centennial of the National Park Service. He'll be sharing his images and stories along the way here, on his own Instagram feed, and on the following link at Nat Geo: www.natgeo.com/59in52 . #59in52 #onassignment #nps100 #findyourpark
