Not in love with the Steve Bannon announcement? (A white supremacist, anti-Semite and has committed domestic abuse). Here is something you can do... I am sending this to you because I know that you care about protecting the rights of Jews, Blacks, Hispanics, LGBTQ people, and other minorities. Last week's election result has empowered hate groups. The recent announcement of Steve Bannon, a white supremacist and anti-semite, as one of the first appointments of the new administration must not be tolerated.

Please take 5 minutes now to call your elected officials to ask that they oppose this appointment. You can find contact information for your Senators here and US Representatives here. You can also reach Speaker Paul Ryan at (202) 225-3031 and Majority Leader McConnell at (202) 224-2541. Hit option 6 to leave a message telling them that this is not ok.

Phone calls are a very effective way to make your voice heard. Please do this right away - it will just take a few minutes but could make a big difference.

If you'd like to do more, reach out to any groups you know that might join this effort from religious groups to community organizations. Contact people of influence-- College presidents, high-profile coaches and anyone else who has a public megaphone -- and ask them to speak out against Bannon's appointment.
