The U.S. Innovation Center - Bayer’s Research Hub in the United States

In 2011, Bayer opened its U.S. Innovation Center (USIC) in San Francisco to enable the company’s scientists to reach out to academic institutions and life science firms and forge new drug discovery collaborations.

USIC houses Bayer scientists who drive the company’s strong Hematology research program, which focuses on coagulation factors, sickle cell disease and the discovery of novel biologic drug candidates, as well as the Biologics Research program, which supports Bayer’s global efforts across therapeutic areas including hematology, oncology, ophthalmology and more. Finally, USIC includes Bayer’s U.S. Science Hub, a scientific team working to actively identify and pursue partnerships with academic and biotech researchers in the United States.
