Today in 1835: Author Mark Twain is born. This issue of Classic Comics includes an adaptation of his novel "A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court," published by the Gilberton Company, Inc. in September 1945.
Ruth Roche and Tom Scott adapted the novel to the comic format, and Jack Hearne composed the cover art. The cover depicts Hank Morgan—the novel’s protagonist—on horseback firing six shooters and advancing mounted knights.
