@veronikaheilbrunner on finding her dream career... “Growing up, I was always kind of obsessed with fashion. As a child, I was always reading my mum’s magazine and dreaming of clothes – I was a bit weird, I really enjoyed just being by myself and making up stuff in my head. I think my parents thought I was just quiet, but really I was thinking about how things look, what colours and materials they were made from, and imagining scenes in my head. Then, when I finished school, I tried everything from waitressing to modelling. I wasn’t so successful at modelling, because it was that grungy time and that didn’t really fit my body shape, but it was during that period I discovered there was such a job as a fashion editor. I was just like, wow, that is a job that basically sums up everything I love – and then I realised that’s what I wanted to do.”
