It’s pledged to remain carbon neutral, maintain 60 percent of the country forested for future generations, ban plastic bags and institute a monthly pedestrian day that prohibits private vehicles from its roads. Bhutan has also announced its intention to become the world’s first 100 percent organic-farming nation.
