I would like to wish you all a very Merry Christmas my darlings. These are my two children Millisent 9 and Gabriele 4 and as you know I'm a single parent. I couldn't be prouder of these two beautiful souls who have blessed me with motherhood. It isn't easy living life, it's even less easy raising two other precious lives, we don't get a manual or guidance, there's no fast track or magic wand to make everything perfect but if we always move forward with love and kindness in our hearts we will always be ok and have each other. We punish ourselves for working away to provide for our children or relationship and also for being at home to raise them at the expense of not earning but it's far better to do your best and make every second count rather than what society thinks, expects or measures. Christmas isn't about spending money to equate love, it's not about giving to receive or feeling you have to be where you don't want to be. It's about counting your blessings, being grateful for the sacrifices others have made on your behalf and appreciating the fact we are all here, alive and happy. So I'll leave you with my daughters prayer which we'll be reading over dinner when my family join us in celebration. "Dear Lord, thank you for the food that we are about to eat. Thank you for the loved ones that share this table. Thank you for giving us another day. Please look after Nanny Christina and Grandad Joe and allow them to live on within our hearts and stand by our side when facing the obstacles we must overcome. Please help us to grow, to love one another and fill our days with light, laughter and smiles. Look over us and protect us and reunite us in your kingdom. Amen"
