@trentblomfield Five years ago, I set foot in a small town called El Chalten and enjoyed the hike to Laguna de Los Tres. I was loving life on a extended backpacking trip. I'd seen that glorious mountain and had a blast in the outdoors. Even with the sunburn.
Strolling into El Chalten, I find the only locutorio (net cafe) and start to check emails and social media. I get hit with the gut wrenching news of a friend passing away in tragic circumstances on a trip in Borneo. Devastated. Absolutely devastated.
It took a few years to go back here. And standing in front of these giants and seeing my images from there bring back memories of my friend. And how much she enjoyed life. And that everyone should live life to the fullest and jump at every opportunity that comes your way. #watchthisinstagood suggested by @rachstewartnz
