I couldn't have happened upon a lovelier sight - while walking the grounds of the sanctuary where our sold out retreat is to be held next week, I was stopped in my tracks by this simply lovely little foot bridge, nestled among the the waning pre-snow foliage - it reminded me of a discussion I once had with a professor many years ago about creativity and the creative process - it is something to be pursued and can feel illusive at times - like chasing a silver stag through a dense dark woods catching glimpses of it only long enough to make you believe it's real and to give you the strength to chase it again as it sets off at a maddening wild pace - on a more concrete note, i can't wait to spend time here at the beautiful Norman bird sanctuary - once inhabited but a family of landscape painters- I am grateful to them for placing this ground under protection, preserving the open space and habitats of this corner of New England
