Here a starry night is seen above the world-famous #Neuschwanstein Castle in #Bavaria, #Germany. The brightest star visible is Vega. On the upper right is Big Dipper. The image is a tribute to the eccentric king Ludwig II who had immense interest in art and bizarre architecture. He commissioned to build this spectacular castle, nesting on the Bavarian #Alps, in the 19th-century. The iconic palace was an inspiration for Disneyland's Sleeping Beauty Castle and later similar structures in the world. @natgeocreative
