Don't be scared to like this photo. By doing so u help spread awareness n help break the silence. To think. I was once a victim but I survived. I want anyone being victimized to know, u don't have to be, that things will n can get better.
Domestic Violence can happen to anyone. It happened to me. I only share a scratch of the surface with these images. U can't see the mental n emotional pain. U can't see all the physical hurt he caused, bc I choose not to release those images. U don't see how i nearly lost both my careers in the ER n entertainment industry.
DV is not prejudice to gender, to age, to social or educational status. My biggest mistake wasn't loving an abuser ... my mistake it was not loving me. Looking at these photos I still cringe. I wonder how in the world did my body endure such things. It's amazing how resilient the body, mind and heart is. How strong the power of will is & forgiveness. Bc first I needed to forgive myself for staying as long as I did. Once I did, I I was able to forgive my abuser. Bc I believe in energy and getting better not in getting bitter.

I think of the life I have now n the good I bring by helping others with my story, and somehow im grateful to this bc it made me stronger. Break The Silence #iSurvived ? --------
