I recently partnered with @toyotausa on a really fun project where I took their #Toyota86 model sports car on a road trip around the Mojave desert and highway 1 to shoot photos. It was a dream shoot and total blast! The car handles curves like a dream, a real drivers car. This photo here was the first one I shot, a lot of fun to make and particularly challenging. What looks to be a giant #mojaveYucca is actually just an in-camera #doubleExposure of the giant plant photographed up close, there's nothing photoshopped about it. A double exposure is essentially shooting/exposing 2 photos onto 1 frame, all done in the camera. The yucca photo, stars and silhouette was the first photo, after shooting it I turned towards the road, cued the car to drive down the road where i used 3 large strobes to light up the car and scene. The streaks are from the headlights and the long exposure. It took about a dozen tries to get the shot and I love how it turned out!
