A Lesser Kestrel left its nest, located in an abandoned house, while the chick is calling for more food. The Lesser Kestrels are often nesting in urban areas, as they provide nesting sites and are usually surrounded by agricultural fields, securing food resources. Matera, holds one of the largest colony: about a thousand couples are nesting every springtime in the ancient town.
