After @クリスチャンディオール’s couture show on Monday night, more than 800 people gathered for a masked ball in the gardens of the @museerodinparis. While on #nytassignment for @nytimesfashion, @kostyukov captured the making of a #fairytale fantasy. When the clocks struck 10, guests made their way through the museum and out onto a path lit by candles, projected shooting stars and a vast paper moon. Next came a troupe of courteous jesters on stilts, marching against a backdrop of magic mirrors and a troupe of unicorns. Yes, unicorns. ? Although the crowd was made up of @クリスチャンディオール’s most esteemed couture clients — some of the world’s most wealthy jet-setters — they could scarcely believe their eyes.
