Why did the southern #cassowary cross the road? To take a stroll in the lush #Daintree Rainforest, by the looks of things! This majestic bird is one of the natural wonders of @tropicalnorthqueensland and is a good reason to slow down if you're driving on the roads here. These creatures can be as tall as a human and are, in fact, Australia's heaviest flightless bird. It's best to admire them from a distance - they're a wild animal, after all!
