My beautiful lady Naiobi was sedated today to check out the glaucoma in her left eye. Diagnosis is that the eye needs to be removed. For those of you who follow the George and Yame story, Naiobi had a check up for cataracts in both eyes the same time as George. The decision was made to leave them and miraculously the one in the right eye disappeared via resorption. A few months later the left eye glazed over but then started to swell which was worrying. It always amazes me how animals adapt to their disabilities and hardly ever show signs of discomfort or pain until it's really debilitating. She will go for surgery next Friday.
