Good luck to everyone competing today! I clearly remember my first Nationals. My foot slipped in finals and it felt like the sun wouldn't rise again until the next year when I could have another chance. Then I remember winning my first Nationals when I was 12 and running into my mom's arms, my eyes were wet, glimmering with joy. Competing always riddled me with so many layers of emotion; from nauseating anxiousness to boundless excitement, to chaotic nervousness. Competitions have been a part of a significant chapter of my life. They can play a tremendous role in developing life skills including focus, commitment, and humility. @usaclimbing @ifsclimbing
