This rabbit image was taken a few years ago and as a subject they must be one of the easiest and most enjoyable to work with. Lying in the sun on a warm summers day I was just a few metres away from this beautifully inquisitive youngster and as it always the case the image is always improved if we’re lucky enough that the rabbit in question puts both his ears up as nicely as this one has. With the sun rising behind me the youngster is bathed in warm evening light, photographed against the dark backdrop of a distant hedgerow in shadow. As photographic encounters go this one could not have been any more relaxing!
