Throughout March we are celebrating women artists in our collection, and on view in our exhibitions— #AnickaYi, the eleventh winner of the Hugo Boss Prize has a scientific approach to her art making, and a desire to create work that engages all of our senses, not just sight. Yi catalyzes vivid fictional scenarios through concepts and techniques drawn from scientific research, creating installations that ask incisive questions about human psychology and the workings of society. Her solo exhibition, The Hugo Boss Prize 2016: Anicka Yi, Life Is Cheap, opens at the Guggenheim on April 21.
