Sarah Ramadanさんのインスタグラム写真 - (Sarah RamadanInstagram)「Believe it or not, both of these women are me. On the left I was a month into my recovery journey. It was a month of unfolding, of realizing that no matter what I weighed or what I ate, healing my symptoms could never cure my suffering. It was a month of learning more about me, and more about the body that took on the burden of anorexia for 4 years too many. It was a month of exhaustion. I will never forget it. And what may shock you even more than these photos, or the tales of my past, is this: I love who I am now, but I also loved who I was then. That woman on the left decided to fight against an illness no matter the cost. Without antagonizing her skin and resenting her reflection, she was thankful. She was thankful for her body, pushing her into existence no matter her neglect. She was thankful for her heart for never skipping a beat, no matter how worn out it was. She was thankful for opportunity, no matter how distant it might be. Simply put, gratitude was a catalyst to my self love. Self-love has to start somewhere, anywhere. You can’t resent where you stand and expect that you will situate yourself in acceptance down the road. You can’t wait for perfect moments that aren’t coming. You can’t wait for material, or love from another. You cannot regret and simultaneously embrace gratitude. Above all, you cannot hate your way to self love. I sure as hell could not afford waiting. I suggest you don’t either. Love where you stand — it is the soil that grounds your growth. 💜 #RosesBareThorns #SelfLoveInAction #FightForGrowth」4月15日 9時15分 - fightforgrowth

Believe it or not, both of these women are me.
And what may shock you even more than these photos, or the tales of my past, is this:
I love who I am now, but I also loved who I was then.
That woman on the left decided to fight against an illness no matter the cost. Without antagonizing her skin and resenting her reflection, she was thankful. She was thankful for opportunity, no matter how distant it might be.
