27-25 was the final set score between Milwaukee Sting and Metro 18 Travel, who put on quite the show for the fans to wrap up Friday's first wave of the 18 Open Division at the #GJNC18. Sting won the first set 25-20, but Metro forced a deciding set after claiming a 25-23 victory in the second. In a back-and-forth third set, the teams cruised past the typical 15-point winning threshold and putting the crowd on pins-and-needles as the players from both teams tried keep their composure. Sting finally put the marathon third set away at 27-25. Sting's @clairemosher13 (#13) was right in the thick of each play from her setting position. She said "It was super intense. We all remember that we had to calm down, we couldn't freak out too much. Otherwise it could end badly for us. I just remember thinking every point, like I got so excited as we got one set closer. Then it went away and came back. I was actually so excited when it was over." Mosher said the final set against Metro was unlike any other set she has played in.
