It's really sad and disheartening that I got a Cease and Desist letter from a lawyer yesterday for respectfully reaching out to a property management company, K&D Properties in Ohio, for simply trying to educate them about the inhumane and harmful procedure of declawing and to try to inspire them to take the declaw requirement out of their pet policy. ? The lawyer said that I was harassing his client and it is against the law. And then he threatened to "file complaints with local law-enforcement and the appropriate law-enforcement agencies where I live." He also said they would "file complaint with the FCC and seek to have you re-train from sending further emails ." I ONLY SENT THEM ONE RESPECTFUL EMAIL!!!! ?????? WTH??????? How rude is that? I wish I could send Cease and Desist letters to all these property management companies to stop requiring the cats that live in their apartments to have their toe bones and claws barbarically amputated.?? I wish I could send Cease and Desist letters to all the declawing vets and tell them to STOP harming and mutilating cats by doing that inhumane procedure to them. ?? Let's hope that declawing is banned in America so all cats will be safe from this horrifically cruel and disgusting procedure. Their lawyer wrote me back today and said that they appreciate my concerns and “certainly understand your position regarding our current policy.” He said his client, ( K & D Properties ) does not wish to have a dialogue with me on this matter. He also said, “To reiterate, my client has no plans to change its current policy.” So sad. ?
