Photo by @aphotographicsurvey // Tattered Luna Moth, Actias luna. This female luna moth was raised by my research assistant, @shaunacaldwell. Shortly after it emerged, two males emerged, and they began fighting and flying into the female, causing the damage seen here. Interesting behavior to see in creatures that are seen as so delicate and gentle.
