I was recently tagged in a transformation picture again. (for those of you who are new to my account, I recovered from anorexia nervosa: click the link in my bio to access my YouTube for my Transformation Story?) This happens a lot, and I am always very happy to hear the positive feedback and the way it inspires some people. However there is a problem when people start to believe my transformation was merely in pounds and not in mind. This not only undermines the complexity of mental illness, but it also misguides individuals who suffer with an eating disorder. Little do these reposters know, that if they got the story right, they would probably inspire more people with the images they share.
I only say this with sincerity, as I have personally been misguided over SM with assumptions that X body or Y physique would make me a happier person. It doesn’t. I didn’t have anorexia and “became fit”. I became healthy. And alive. My body was merely a side effect. ?

I hope this makes sense to some of you haha??. No hate, just sharing my thoughts☺️??
