Mother's Day. It's been so long since I've seen you yet I can still hear your voice from the next room calling for the dogs outside. I can remember when you wouldn't leave the house without "putting your face on". I can see when you'd make breakfast in the morning and we'd try and argue in our learned Spanish and you'd laugh that guttural laugh of yours. I remember when you were in your locked room, Jess and I at the door listening in, giggling, when you were recording yourself sing Waylon Jennings songs. We'll never forget the animals, the trips, your horror books, the Kool Kings and Dr. Peppers, how fast you typed, the night's out, and late night calls to hear your voice last. You were one of a kind. Happy Mother's Day, Mom. ❤️
