Mom. With the coming together of families comes the unfamiliar, the clash of certain pathways. You've heard the stories: "My In-laws..." or "evil step mother..." etc. etc. almost always divisive, a roll of the eyes. Then sometimes good intentions turns into integrity turns into a relationship turns into love. BJ, I love you. My Mom. You earned it tenfold. You've been such a support, so active in bringing our family together and, to me, for me, so...incredibly present. We have gotten older together and with that we've put down unnecessary barbs and embraced fully our familial bond. Mother. Mom. I've spent almost as much time with you as I did my own mother.
