It's funny how mental battles can work ?The conscious mind offers sound logic, such as "Hey you haven't climbed in awhile. You can't push on your foot. Take it slow, don't expect anything." At the same time the ego rises up with similar dialogue: "It hasn't been THAT long since you last climbed. Your @fiveten_official approach shoe has the magic sticky rubber; it's basically a climbing shoe. You're on toprope. Take it slow, it will feel easy." So, when it doesn't feel easy, which side is the sore loser? ?Cold hard reasoning is a strong weapon of the mind but fiery emotion-bombs of the ego are hard to beat ?? It's important to douse the flame, embrace the burn, and keep perspective ~in mind~ ? #climbing #climbinginjuries .
