#Lightning added some drama last night as lights were tested beneath the new #TappanZee Bridge, which connects Westchester and Rockland Counties across the Hudson River in New York. Several months remain before it officially opens to commuters, but it’s now possible to drive across the entire 3-mile length of the new bridge, a critical crossing in the suburbs of NYC. The old Tappan Zee opened in 1955 and was expected to last a half-century, a shelf life that expired 12 years ago.
