While standing on the "Prow," Frank Lloyd Wright said that "Taliesin West (@wrighttaliesin) is a look over the rim of the world." When he purchased the property in 1937, he was inspired by the desert landscape and created walls made from "desert masonry" that seem as if he took the desert floor and tilted it upright.
