Did you know that today is #WorldOceansDay? This image represents a 3D-printed scale model of a reef scaffold created as part of the (In)human Habitat project in 2010 by James Gardiner. These 3D-printed artificial reefs, one of which is on display at the #PowerhouseMuseum in #OutOfHand, help reconstruct damaged coral reefs by creating a scaffold for coral polyps to attach to and grow on rather than re-creating the reef itself.
