This summer two giant trees are temporary visitors to the Museum as part of the exhibition #MichaelNicholsWild. At 3,200 years old, this giant sequoia is one of the oldest living things on the planet and @michaelnicknichols sees his photograph, a composite of hundreds of images digitally pieced together, as a momentary portrait in the long span of the tree’s life. See this tree in the Great Stair Hall now through September 17. #AWildLife
