‘Zizka Cleaners car, Buick Electra,’ by Langdon Clay, 1976. Clay spent two years photographing cars he saw while walking around New York and Hoboken, N.J., at night. An exhibit called "Autophoto" at the Fondation Cartier in Paris features 500 works by 100 artists and looks at how cars have inspired photographers over the decades.
