Born #onthisday in 1887, #MarcelDuchamp pushed the boundaries of art making. He called one of his most well-known works, “The Large Glass,” a “hilarious picture,” and after working on it for eight years declared it “definitively unfinished.” After it shattered while traveling, #Duchamp spent another ten years piecing the work back together before deciding it was finally complete.
