"I love them both," says Yousef, a 28-year-old Syrian refugee who, along with his wife Nour and their baby Rahaf, is waiting for asylum papers in Germany. "I can't lie and say I love Nour more, because I really love them both. My first, and last love, will be for Nour. But this little girl, Rahaf, has changed my life. Now we have a tri-love."⠀

Yousef and Nour, from Deir ez-Zor in eastern Syria, recently had their second asylum interview with German authorities. The family traveled to the western town of Bad Berleburg from Greece, where Rahaf was born a little more than nine months ago.⠀
