"You know a guy died on this the other day, right?" a fellow climber asked me as I chalked up at the base of the First Flatiron. I’d heard about 17-year old Carter Christensen’s death a few hours after it happened. I continued chalking up anyways and began up the 1,000 ft slab to ridge. ⛰
