Like they were saying: "Look what I have! - Look what I have!" Bee-eaters (Merops apiaster) perching on a twig with their prey before flying into the nesting hole to feed chicks. The adult parent (at right) holds a bumblebee. The other holds a hornet. This individual called "helper". Those birds, who are not founding own family (young adults), better help for their parents to raise the chicks next year. Lovely system! Only about 30 miles from my residency...
