"Bitch Like Me" The very first song I ever recorded, I wrote it in the front seat of my ex boyfriends car while we were driving down PCH, I recorded it with The Cataracs in Nile's bedroom at the time before the hits and the big studios. I shot the video gorilla style with the help of my friends. That train behind me was unexpected, we just thought we were going to shoot on the tracks, definitely didn't think the train would pass by, n̠o̠t̠ safe ?
Fun fact: Skrillex and Diplo did their first collaboration together using vocal samples from this song on a track called "Amplifier". You should check it out.
Flashback: I remember getting this demo on CD after my first studio session, it was prom night, Lupe Fiasco was performing but I didn't want to enter the party, instead I was outside in my Honda Pilot bumping this track on repeat in the Alpine system showing it off to all my homies, I was ear to ear, singing along to my new anthem.
I'm not sure when it stopped being that much fun for me and when it started feeling like "work" but I'm taking it back to that feeling with my new song "Kiss The Pussy" it will be out soon so we can all bump that shit together, ear to ear smiles, my new anthem.
