Do you need an electrolyte drink during training?
Short answer- Water is sufficient for hydration unless you sweat a lot, have a very vigorous session or are doing extended cardio.
Make sure it's isotonic if using during a session. Soft drinks are hypertonic meaning they have too much carbs leading to poor hydration.
