Photo by @franslanting “Blue Lion” A ghost at twilight, this male lion is small in the landscape yet powerful in his presence. I watched him slink through the grass of Kenya’s Maasai Mara, periodically raising his head to check his surroundings. At twilight, light becomes blue, turning the savanna into an otherworldly realm from which this lone male emerged. The momentary flash from my strobe illuminated his eyes, which intensified his glare. Follow me @FransLanting to see more unusual images of wildlife and wild places.
