Swipe left to see this 2-panel view of March 2016 total solar eclipse. The dark Sun hangs in the clearing sky over a volcanic seascape from the Indonesian isle of Ternate. The sky is still bright on the eastern horizon outside the Moon's umbral shadow. Shining through the thin clouds, around the Sun's silhouette is the alluring glow of the solar corona, only easily seen during totality.
Some of you who saw the recent total eclipse in America might be already “addicted” to this spectacular phenomenon and begin planning your next eclipse adventure for July 2019 in Chile/Argentina. I got the eclipse bug when I was a teenager in 1995 with my first and shortest totality of 14 seconds. I continued documenting them for 2 decades.
