Saïd employed Western painting techniques to capture his native Egypt, depicting scenes of contemporary life that reference the country’s long history.

The son of Egypt’s former Prime Minister, Saïd enjoyed a successful legal career but always had a strong desire to make art. At the age of 50, he resigned to become an artist full time.
