I’m working with Say Hueque, an Argentinian tour company, for my trip across the Salta region in the north.

What I love about them is that they arrange private tours tailored to your interests. My friend Sherry of @ottsworld and I both perked up when we heard “llama trekking” in the Andes was an option and we immediately said YES PLEASE!

This is Jura and he is so sweet. I walked him around for about an hour with Sherry and her llama Moro. Jura loves to eat everything green on the trail, drink from puddles and prefers not to tangle with dogs.

If you ever think about a trip to South America, you’ve got to squeeze some llama trekking in. And make sure you remember the word “vamos,” you’ll need it when your llama stops for the 11th time for weed snacks.
