As sea ice diminishes and reaches its lowest extent in recorded history, the task ahead for all polar bears is a difficult one. Polar bears need sea ice in order to hunt for seals. I’ve been very fortunate to have spent most of my life out on the sea ice observing polar bears, both as a biologist and a photographer.
