This is just one behavior of many that show orangutans are very similar to us. Did you know that orangutans even have culture? So in the United States we shake hands but in other places people bow and like us Orangutans greet each other differently in different places. With Nat Geo photographer @Tim Laman we made a short, 17 minute film about orangutan cultures called Person of the Forest. Produced with funding and support from the Nat Geo Society.
